Real Environment Xtreme Announcement | REX Weather Force Weather Engine

Oh god. I remember I had to do that for FSX. Addon checklist to start up before the sim to make it look half decent. There is no way I’m going back to that; if it doesn’t run with the sim, there is a very small chance I am buying it.

Just bought and installed, here is my situation:

With this error inside logs:

System.FormatException: String was not recognized as a valid DateTime.
at System.DateTimeParse.Parse(String s, DateTimeFormatInfo dtfi, DateTimeStyles styles)
at System.Convert.ToDateTime(String value)
at rexwxforceapp.controls.weather.GetWeatherDataStatic()

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

We are “reinstall and it is work , but start up again it is no work again” club!

The best weather system is ActiveSky by far. Rex is far behind …

I should probably get out more…

I will explain: During my “almost” 100 flights so far while most of them were on airports near the sea ( take off, route, landing) i rarely experienced waves even on windy conditions.

I never seem to have wind w/ the default live weather. The only time I see any kind of turbulence is storm clouds and around mountains. Other then that nothing…

Everyone is free to decide.

I agree 100% that nobody could touch/modify the Superb MFS Weather except Asobo. But in the mean time i dont have any issue to pay 15 euros to REX which possibly gives me the possibility or the ( impression!) for accurate Metar/winds

I have a low-spec machine. If I get 24fps, I’m happy. I get 7fps when I use Weather Force. Worthless for me.

LGAV 4pm UTC.

I love P3D, but you are 100% correct. Before launching the sim I have to run: CH Manager, ActiveSky, REX, and ChasePlane. Not to mention the sim having to load ORBX Global, Vector, Regions, Airports, Traffic, and Pilots Mesh.

yes same errors + System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path ‘X:\REX Weather\MSFSWXDLL.dll’ is denied. Sent a ticket since yesterday, i guess they will update it soon ( has many bugs)

Exactly, I also confirm the dll error

Lmao can’t wait for people to blame Asobo for the performance

Asobo should block and ban third part weather addons, it will slow down deafult weather system development

@ Artax04 That’s a little over the top, in my opinion. What they very likely will do though, if too many people start reporting problems with it here, is say that since it isn’t accessing MSFS through the proper API, they can’t provide support for it, and aren’t interested in receiving bug reports (about anything) from anyone using it. Fixing bugs is hard enough without outside applications injecting stuff in ways you have no control over.

less people using default weather >>> more time to fix cause less bugs reported.
More problems caused by third party addon and more time to waste.
They should ban for at least 2 years this game changers addons.
