any idea when and if the realsimgear hardware will work in 2020? I have the garmin 530 650 750
They said they are working on it but that’s about it for now!!!
Also waiting big time for this support for my RealSimGear. I also heard they are working on it and they made it sounds like they had to wait on Microsoft for the API support. Hopefully it will be soon…
Yeah, they told me the same thing. Serious bugs and issues in the FlightSim, before they are not fixed, they cannot work on the support of RealSimGear.
I really hope they come to terms soon…
I’d love to know what discussions, if any, went on between Microsoft/Asobo and third party hardware makers like Real Sim Gear over the last year. My guess is the SDK wasn’t complete enough for them until very late in the game.
The GPS-related parameters in the SimConnect sdk doesnt seem to be implemented yet (they are avaliable but doesnt seem to do anything). I´d guess thats why the Realsimgear (and other GPS hardware) dont work yet. I guess it´s just a matter of time.
I hear you. I have a RSG G1000 suite and it took X-plane a long time to get it right and I hope MSFS can get it there or it will be a 3rd party thing. I hope the Hotstart TBM 900 becomes compatible with FS2020 but from what I understand is there are things hard coded that developers with the SDK have some challenges to get around. The TBM-900 by hot start has a massive amount of custom programming behind the scenes.
I feel the same way about Go-Flight. They are closed for COVID, but you can program anywhere. Hopefully, they will soon update their app.
Statement Released by RSG:
So thats already almost a week old and before the patch. Any updates to anyone from RealSimGear? Using it with the screens but without the knobs is no fun…
I agree, I have the TBM Package from RSG. In time it will work Microsoft said they are working on advanced setups. Given 99% of the players using MSFS don’t have RSG setups or advanced setups, I can only imagine we are not high on their priority list.
Just following this, still waiting for compatibility. I heard from the RealSimGear support staff that they are actively working with Asobo to get everything in place, but with all the missing features of the MSFS G1000 it is taking some time.
As DoniMarcos says, flying just with the screens is not quite the same, I keep trying to use the controls and forgetting that they don’t work. That said, at least it is easy to pop out the displays and get them in full screen in MSFS, that was a pain to get right in X-Plane!
Just announced today, full support for G1000, GNS, and GFC products and MSFS. Check it out:
Ist now working for me. The only problem I have since this patch is a Freeze when popping out a screen. Popping out is not the problem but as soon as I move the window to the secondary screen (gns430) the game freezes.
Did anyone experience That? The only workaround for me rn is to run the game in windowed mode, which is terrible.
It did work before the Patch.
Me too - I use virtual fly (rival to RSG) and same thing happens and only windowed mode helps. Nvidia card and Win 10 all uptodate.
I have G1000 & 15’’ MFD from RSG. No issues when popping out windows. Also how do you like the virtual fly panel?
Latest update may have fixed it - mind you I need to re-position each PFD/MFD for each flight which is a pain - XP11 remembers the window position. Does that happen to you too?
The virtual fly seems perfect - never had a RSG to compare - but very solid. Looks great with this:

I have this sim freeze issue also, it goes away if I turn off HDR.
I have a 4k main and 1080p side monitor
