This one is for South Americans and South America fans.
I have a Piper Arrow sitting in Belen (Argentina) and am planning a tour through South America. Final destination would be Costa Rica but I’m in no rush (afterall it’s fall/winter season) and I hope to see a lot along the way.
My problem is that I neither want to stay exclusively West (Chile) or East of the Andes and the mountains themselves look daunting to fly in. Luckily I do have a Turbo Arrow so I’m somewhat capable to fly high enough, but I would still rather not cross the Andes more than once or twice, and at the safest places.
I have a sketch of an idea for a route here that would get me to the Atacama and Cuzco but I would also like to see something of Chile, so should I fly South first “around” the Andes?
Maybe you have ideas how I see a lot of nice places along the way.
Gracias por sus consejos y much suerta!
