Recommendations for an AMD MB that really works with the G2

Anyone got a cast iron solution for getting a G2 to work with an AMD Ryzen Motherboard.

My Asus B450 and G2 combination failed in Jan and despite an unpgrade to an Aus Tuf B550, i’m still getting error code 13 when connecting the G2. HP provided a replacement cable a couple of weeks ago which worked for a couple of hours. I’ve tried every combination of fix, including 3.0 usb boards, hubs , Gen 3 settings.

I’ve a couple of days left before I need to return this Asus MB, if i want to swap. I’m not convinced it’s not the G2 itself, but to give it the very best change has any one a proven board recommendation.

I should add I’ve a Quest 2 too, which works fine, but it doesn’t have the clarity of the G2.
