Refresh Rate - Monitor and Oculus Link

Is there any relationship between the PC desktop monitor refresh rate and the Oculus Quest 2 refresh rate?

I have a 60hz monitor so presumably the GPU is serving imagery to that at 60hz.

But I have my Oculus link settings at 120hz.

So is Oculus link itself generating a 120hz video stream to the headset from a 60hz GPU output?

I saw someone say that the default refresh rate on the Q2 is 90 Hz and they’d had a much better experience setting the refresh rate to match. Not sure if it’s been upgraded to 120 with firmware though.
