Regression - sim is mixing live weather with historical weather again (was previously fixed in SU2)

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: In SU2 a fix was deployed that fixed the issue of live weather data incorrectly mixing with historical data and 2 models apparently fighting each other. This bug has been re-introduced in SU3 and Live weather again seems to be mixing with incorrect/historical data when it should not be.

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta? No

Provide specific location or coordinates: UK/Europe. EGNX for example at time 1930UTC, shows lots of cloud over East Midlands and all over central UK in general, this was how the weather was approximately -24 hours, where as tonight is should be largely clear skies.

Provide time and date of the observed weather issue: 21.MAY.2025 ~ 1930UTC

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE - seems more prominent after 1800UTC

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

You can see the data is bugged and mixing with old data or something, hence all the missing cloud cover

I concur. Flying in southeast asia on SU3, I’m seeing a lot of discrepancies.

Yes, this bug is still present in SU3 beta.

Is there any chance the devs could take a look at this?

Yep, something definitely weird going on with live weather.

Yeah, I really hope they look at this as it got to a really good state with the patches they released in SU2 beta but something seems to have gone wrong again.

Another example now of this bug, at LEMD:

Forecast, METAR, Satellite etc all call for clear skies:

MSFS has heavy cloud:

Still happening in the latest BETA, something for the UK especially goes wrong from 1900UTC and the data becomes wrong, chunks of clouds get removed and in other locations of the UK cloud is injected where it shouldn’t be.

I’m not in SU3B, but i see that it’s back to the live version of the sim (SU2), the weather will often show the old cached (i guess?) wx data, so seems like a server side thing really. I hope they are aware, because it needs to some tinkering again.

I hope so too, but it’s not even feedback or bug logged, so I doubt it’ll get the attention it deserves.

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.
