Hello, I could not find a clear answer to my challenge. I want to do a clean reinstall of Windows 11. In the Flight Simulator I accumulated a few hundred flight hours which I dont want to loose and also big progress in many of the Bushtrips. I do not want to loos progress in those.. In which files are they saved? Anything els I need ot save? Is there a way of reinstalling Windows without impacting on Flight Simulator?
Thanks
I’ve recently done a clean reinstall of Windows, without saving any files and still have my logbook from earlier. I’m sure it is stored by Microsoft in the cloud.
Not sure about progress in Bush trips as I don’t do those, but I would guess they too are saved.
DorchFlyer is correct, all your settings are kept in the cloud.
The principle reason is so when you sign into MSFS on any device that is running the sim, anywhere, all your settings are available, and used, as they are kept in the cloud.
That also comes in handy for reasons as yours, a reinstall.
Therefore, MSFS will use your settings when you reinstall.
Imam actually not interested in the settings. That is easy enough to adjust after reinstall.
My concer is thar all the progress in the bushtrips get lost among the way and you have to refly. Also your total no of hours flown.
Settings also include your logbook settings, and your bushtrip status settings, not just your game settings.
Unless you change something, the sim should be the same when you’ve finished the reinstall as it was when you left it.
Thanks for the clarificarion. Id you say bushtrip settings i guess this includes the progress made or stages finished.
