Reinstalled on new PC and now controller profiles won't save

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: Ever since installing MSFS 2024 on a new PC, I cannot get the controller profiles that I want to associate with a particular plane to save. I can make new profiles, I can change them, and all of this saves fine, but what is refusing to save is which profile I’ve selected for a particular controller and aircraft, whereas it was doing this fine before I upgraded PC.

Just to add, the problem seems to be intermittent – on occasion a saved controller profile will load correctly for a given aircraft after restarting the sim, but mostly I find the controller profiles set to defaults.
