Reinstalling WIN 11 and MSFS 2020

Has anyone had or decided to reformat and reinstall everything? Wondering what a task it might be particularly with being an MSFS 2020 “Owner” and without an installation disk.

Hello
In particular, each update I install W11 and MSFS 2020 from scratch.
It doesn’t take me more than 6 hours.

Thanks. I haven’t ‘re-done’ this computer, since the beginning install, and would like a clean install leaving out some software. I have not had problems after updates but want a clean fresh install. Basically The Flight Sim Computer. Occasionally using it to watch YoutubeTV.

I’ve recently (3 days ago) done a dual boot W10 & W11 and a fresh install of MSFS, can’t beat a good clean out ! but after todays update and being involved in the Beta It wants me to re-install the sim again all 130 GB plus content manager downloads. Oh well at least it will be all new again… I say do it thing load a lot faster with a fresh install.

Go to the Microsoft Store to re-load MSFS 2020? After log in?

I think I went to the XBOX store to re-download MSFS after a system re-install.

Today’s Update was from the MS Store. Thanks

Go to Windows Settings, Apps and under
MS Flight Simulator APP select “Uninstall”.

Then go to MS Store/Steam and install it like new.

Not sure if you saw my post a few days ago.

But I upgraded my PC this past weekend and decided to intentionally do a fresh install since I was also installing a new, faster SSD. Obviously my new hardware (i9-12900k, 32gb DDR5 RAM) has helped, but I also think a fresh install helped since I’ve never done one since alpha days… and my performance has been amazing. I love it in SU9.
