Antarctica is the ultimate destination on every intrepid globetrotter’s bucket list. A dream for many and an experience for few. An eerily beautiful, empty landscape and the only place on earth that is still as it should be awaits you.
Over a total of 8 legs, you will cover 9,100 kilometers (4,900 nautical miles), which at first sounds like a very long flight. If the stages seem too long, you can shorten the time with a specially implemented teleport function. Since there are only a few runways in Antarctica in the flight simulator, 6 new snow airfields were created for this expedition and 3 existing airfields were upgraded with additional buildings. All runways have smoke signals and lighting to make them stand out from the snowy landscape. All research stations depicted in MSFS that are flown to have been supplemented with fictional buildings and are now recognizable as such. The DC-3 is used as the aircraft, which was mainly used for transport purposes between 1948 and 1968. Those who prefer to transport passengers and like it more modern and faster can use the TBM 930 for this mission.
