Blackbox are pleased to announce that we are about to release the all new MSFS-2024 Islander! She should be available some time Wednesday 2nd July !
Here are a few highlighted features :-

AVIONICS

User Selectable Options of Traditional Analogue 6 pack panel with full 3D Modelled gauges with GTN530 and GTN430 GPS Systems, or a full glass cockpit with Garmin G1000 Series Avionics Suite. Fully dimmable Panel and Overhead spot lighting with each individual bulb modelled.

CABINS

A Full set of interior layouts including adjustable sun visors, opening windows, doors and a choice of passenger, cargo, special ops and skydiving cabin layouts with individually loaded seats depending individual layouts. (NOT ALL in tartan)

SYSTEMS

New 2024 accurate electrical circuitry and fuel systems including fully functioning circuit breakers and optional wingtip tanks with extended wing structure. Flight dynamics using latest 2024 CFD and new MSFS Prop and ground physics to accurately match real world Islander performance and handling. Dynamic sound set Matched to real Islander environment.

VARIANTS

Several configurable variants allowing you to choose the Mission and panel type
Here we have Passenger with Glass cockpit, Cargo with Steam gauges and special ops with steam and additional fuel tanks. You can choose any combination of these variants.

EXTERIOR

Several accurate 4K liveries with Assignable N-Numbers and including a Fictional 60th Anniversary livery for The Islander

Due to FS2024 methods this has had to involve a complete rebuild of models system and FDE and has taken many months of hard work..

Its not all bad news though as it will be VERY Competitively priced at only 19.99
Its like having a discount anyway

Doesn’t hurt to ask.
I’ve never passed on a native 2024 model for not being discounted if I enjoy the 2020 version. I know it’s a lot of work.

Will this plane be capable of doing career missions? So it seems according to the different variants shown.

The Islander IS Mission ready, we have ticked all the boxes and jumped through all hoops. Adding all the required code to use this aircraft in missions/career mode…
Any shortfalls in this will currently be due to the Sim not being properly ready yet
the ball is in Asobo’s court on this one

But presumably you tested this in career mode with SU2, so if it works for you it should work for us, right? Do you anticipate any issues with it working?

The Product has been tested as far as current SDK and Development tools allow at this time…
