Metar Viewer is an aviation weather app designed for android that fetches and decodes METARs, TAFs, and gives you detailed airport information (such as runway length, lighting, SkyVector page, …) all of that with Dark Mode!

The app is still brand new so plenty of features are coming (Bookmarks are coming soon™), feel free to send me a DM on discord if you have ideas/suggestions!

Update 1.3: The update is now live!

Changelog:

  • Added a bookmark option: You can bookmark any ICAOs and find them in the “Favorite airports” tab, In there you can see the raw METAR and if you press it you will get the decoded metar.
  • Made the ads less intrusive: You have to press the search button five times to see an ad now (Previously 3 times)
  • Added a header to the navigation drawer
  • Fixed some UI bugs with text not scrolling properly and text going off-screen on smaller devices

Update 2.0: This update is a complete rewrite of the application (from Kotlin to Flutter)!

Changelog:

  • Rewrite of the entire app.
  • Removed all the ads!
  • When you tap on a favorite ICAO you can choose what information you want to decode.

Coming soon: I will add a Top of Climb and Top of Descend calculator and a Performance calculator to the app very soon™
