RELEASE NOTES Sim Update 17 Beta - 1.40.1.0
If you are playing on PC, outdated packages in your community folder may have an unexpected impact on the title’s performance and behavior.
If you suffer from stability issues or long loading times, move your community package(s) to another folder before relaunching the title.
Flighting Focus for Feedback - SU17 Flighting
As you spend time flighting SU17, please keep an eye on the following areas and let us know about your experience:
- Sim Rate Display: Try the new option to display the sim rate in-game and let us know if you encounter any issues. The Sim Rate (in-game speed) now appears on the HUD below the compass when it is set to something other than 1. To change the Sim Rate, use the Increase / Decrease Sim Rate commands, which can be mapped in the Controls Options screen.
- Coastal Areas: When flying near coastlines, islands, lakes, or other bodies of water, keep an eye out for misplaced or missing water, incorrect shorelines, unexpected terrain/geometry, or other visual anomalies. The water masks from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 have been ported over to Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020).
- Peripherals: New default input presets have been added for recently released peripherals on PC and Xbox. If you use a device on the list below, please test it during your flights and share your experience, including any issues with default controls or unexpected behavior.
We hope you enjoy our SU17 pre-release flight. Thanks for flying and for flighting!
