El Dorado International Airport (IATA: BOG, ICAO: SKBO) is an international airport serving Bogotá, Colombia and its surrounding areas. The airport is located mostly in the Fontibón district of Bogotá, although it partially extends into the Engativá district and the municipality of Funza in the Western Savanna Province of the Cundinamarca Department. It served over 35 million passengers in 2019 and 740,000 metric tons of cargo in 2018. This makes El Dorado the second busiest airport in South America in terms of passenger traffic and the busiest in terms of cargo traffic. El Dorado is also by far the busiest and most important airport in Colombia, accounting for just under half (49%) of the country’s air traffic.
Looks fantastic and this is one of my fav airports in SA. Hows live traffic working here? Everything hunky dory in that regard? Tower looks amazing. Did you also upgrade the city in the backdrop it looks much better. Added to my radar as I route between SEQM and here quite often.
Hello, we added a few static aircraft and the AI traffic should work just fine. We see a lot of multiplayer activity there. People on IVAO also use this airport a lot. We did not do anything to the city but we plan on adding POIs little by little in updates.
It works. Microsoft has activated it to some of the user who bought it in 2020. Not sure when it’ll be activated for all the buyers. Microsoft has not given us an estimated date for when it’ll be assigned to everyone in 2024
Thank you! I just bought it and it activated in 2024. It looks great (there’s a minor issue with reflective glass on one side, but I can ignore that). No performance impact as far as I can tell. This will be great for doing some Avianca ops in the Fenix!
Anyone have the v2 of this, for FS2024? It looks really good in pics/video — and we’re several updates in — but the Marketplace ratings are fairly average. Seems to have had performance issues on initial release so maybe that accounts for the less-than-desirable score?
Yes, I have v2. First I was using v1, then Wingsim came with their rendition which looked better, so I bought that. And now I’m back to V Pilot using v2. I have no performance issues, I like it. No idea why such a low score. Honestly, I don’t buy anything on Marketplace based on that as I’ve seen many low scored products there I consider as great.

Dunno if you noticed but V Pilot’s later airports are now becoming available at Contrail. I believe SKBO is due later today, joining Cartagena and El Eden.
I can well imagine that some of the poor reviews on marketplace are down to the fact that there was no discounted upgrade price from the 2020 to the 2024 version. I bought the rather mediocre V1 about two years ago for around 20 euros. To be honest, when the 2024 version came out, I was also annoyed that I was expected to pay the full price again.
However, the main thing that put me off buying version 2 was the fact that Colombia probably has the worst satellite data in the entire simulator. In many places, you can see clouds on the satellite images, but even worse are the terribly low-resolution and far too high-contrast satellite images. The landscape looks particularly unattractive around SKBO.
