[Released] Ant's Airplanes CAC Winjeel

Many thanks

Weirdly, I went to try what you said and it worked perfectly first time (without your above tip!)

There’s a secret clickspot somewhere around the top right corner that turns it on too.

Use the mouse cursor to find the clickspot:

I just got the Winjeel on xbox and i love it already , my 1 question is is there a way to toggle the smoke grenades ? I already armed the master switch and both ARM switches

No smoke, according to the manual

Okay thanks, still love the airplane

I’ll make this small review-post because I think this plane deserves some extra attention/recognition.

As usual with Ant’s airplanes the flight model is great, plane flies as expected, aerobatics are not my cup of tea so I can’t really comment on how this plane behaves in this aspect but how it takes off, lands and cruises is really very nice.

Graphics and sounds are awesome, if I got it correctly sounds were sampled from a real aircraft, we have more expensive planes using default F18 sounds so this is a very nice thing.

Systems are simulated in good detail and in full realism and “hard” mode you even have a rudimentary failure system, at least for starting the engines and you also have persistent fuel and oil which is really nice.

Cockpit lighting is amazing, the instruments have UV lighting properly done (Hello Justflight!) and the red floodlights are awesome for night flights.

The cockpit graphics and the modeling in general is really very very nice, the visibility from this little plane is great.

I think it is one of the best GA planes we have for MSFS and more people should use it to cruise around and enjoy the views in the sim.

Version 1.1.0 is listed on Ant’s site but SimMarket doesn’t have the update yet.

That does happen sometimes. In that case, I send an e-mail to the developer with a screenshot of the product page, so he can see that it is the old version. And ask him nicely if he can send the update to SimMarket.
Looking at the Ant’s website, they do note that: " If the Winjeel was purchased through the MSFS Marketplace the update may take a while longer before it is available."
So, I guess, we will have to wait.

Update is still not on SimMarket.

Yes, I noticed. So, I just did send an e-mail to the developer to ask when the update will be send to SimMarket.

Just got an e-mail from SimMarket, v1.10 is now available for download.

Description:
WHAT’S NEW IN V1.10 of the Winjeel for MSFS

  • Fixed glass windows not being animated correctly
  • Avionics switch is set to always when aircraft is loaded
  • Improved prop windmilling when plane is on the ground, engine is off and pointed into a headwind (it will still windmill if the wind is above 20kts though)
  • Fixed engine starting smoke effect persisting for people with a hardware starter switch. Engine smoke will only appear when going from non-combustion to combustion
  • Fixed mixture lever position not updating in the Tablet display

I enjoy this little bird more and more. Always great addons with Ants Airplanes.

I’ve a little problem on xbox version (series X) of this plane.
I bought this plane on the marketplace and the landing lights come on but do not illuminate. Only in xbox version, when i play this plane on PC landing lights are ok.
No one noticed this problem?

(sorry for my bad english)

Just bought the Winjeel: loving it so far.

Here it is, far from its normal habitat in Oz, cruising over the English Lake District …

One odd issue though: I use Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, with the use for some a/c of the vJoy modifier for the Bravo trim wheel, to turn the native button click output to a simulated axis.

Works OK with a whole variety of a/c, but the Winjeel reverses the normal sense of the Bravo trim output, giving me nose up trim efffect (and in-cockpit animation of the trim wheels) for nose down Bravo wheel movement, and vice versa, both with and without the vJoy being active.

The only time I have come across this? Confused me somewhat for a while!

I can make it work to keep my normal, habitual (natural) Bravo wheel movement direction by using a one-off vJoy profile in the sim that reverses the axis application … but why should it need it?

Or am I missing something / doing something silly with the setup of the Winjeel options?

After getting back in the Winjeel i noticed 2 strange things

1 i cannot change the engine oil and sparkplug realism from easy to hard ( its stuck on easy )

2 once i shutdown the engine the prop keeps spinning and the RPM gauge keeps going up and down ( it looks like the engine keeps wanting to start even when the starter is off )

Can someone help me with this

sounds like a binding issue of some kind. i am not having any of the issues you mentioned.

In regards to the realism settings aswell ?

this is the only idea i have. check your settings on the tablet:

if the mixture lever is set to continuous, you cannot change the oil or sparkplug settings from easy.

image
if you set the mixture lever to default, you can change both those settings.

as far as your other issue, i am still betting on a binding issue but beyond that, i can’t be of much help. good luck.
