I don’t know who Ant is but my word, does he make a good airplane. This thing is amazing for the price.

For sure. Hugely Underrated. Waiting on the T28!

Is that actually coming? Another radial? Ugh, probably be an instant buy then, I’m a sucker for them.

That’s the rumour!

Glad to say it has been confirmed by Ant that the T-28 series will be next. And just like in FSX we’ll get the A, B, C & D models. Like in FSX the A-model will be freeware, but this time the B, C & D will come in a single package. I’m super excited about it, they were among my favorite airplanes in FSX!

A T28 will be very welcome… super capable airplane… and if it is the same quality as the other Ant airplanes, it will be a gem!

I’m onboard with anything Ant’s does. Yes please

The T-28 was the first model kit I built without my Dad’s help. Wish I still had it and very much looking forward to Ant’s rendition!

Just been updated to 2024 …and its good :slight_smile:

Great flight model and spins wonderfully …but make sure you recovery properly, or it will reverse on you!

Just gave it a quick test flight in 2024. At least I can take off now haha. Thanks, Ant!

I am not sure if I am imagining it (and cannot be bothered to load into 2020 to verify) but it seems like the engine / revs are not going as high as they used to. I mean at full pitch, full throttle, auto-rich mixture, the boost is never going over the red mark and the engine (RPM) does not seem to get into the higher auidible “crazy radial sound” range I think I remember of it. Don’t have to ease off the power or pitch to stay within limits now?

It still did get up to about 160-180 speed OK, but I just seem to remember it having more grunt and needing to take care of it a bit, rather than simply firewalling it?

Hi, Baracus250, I have the Winjeel in 2020. And Indeed there is an issue with the fuel flow and because of that, the RPM is too low and when giving full throttle, the RPM even gets lower!
I contacted the developer and he now knows about the issue and is working on it.

Just seen email from JF with new patch for this Winjeel. Says:

The new v1.31 Update fixes an error with the fuel system which was causing engine fuel starvation problems in MSFS 2020.

…so, umm, was it not the same issue in 2024? I mean that is where I was flying it. I am not on the PC until the weekend to check it out now.

I’m currently flying the latest version in FS2024 and it consumes a whoppin’ gallon of fuel every 21 seconds (at Boost 30 / 2,200 RPM / Auto Lean).

With 83 gallons of max fuel capacity that yields a best case scenario of 27 minutes of flight time. That can’t be right, right? It’s supposed to have an endurance of about 3.5 hours.

That’s with SU1 Beta 2.

Just a heads up. I’ve been in contact with Ant over the fuel burn issue and he has uploaded a fixed version at simMarket (Version 132). He also provided a manual way to fix it:

The file to edit is the engines.cfg

The line to edit is:

fuel_flow_scalar = 4.75

change this to:

fuel_flow_scalar = 0.75

(word of warning, do not change anything else, MSFS 2024 is very very very fussy about file sizes and if a .cfg file is bigger than it is in the manifest then it will have problems loading the aircraft. As you are simply changing 4.75 to 0.75 this shouldn’t affect the file size at all)

Stellar support! I didn’t expect him to react over the weekend, but he did!

Will these also release for MSFS2020 on the Marketplace? :blush:
