In both the Baron and Bonanza I experience the AP loosing NAV mode. If I switch it on to follow a VOR radial it will extinguish after 5 or 10 minutes and no lateral navigation mode is engaged. I just can switch it on again (until it disengages once more).
Anyone also experiencing this?
Also, when approaching (closer than 10 nm) a VOR while a lateral navigation mode is active (NAV, APR or BC) sometimes the Baron (and the Bonanza) starts to dive in excess of 4000 ft/min. I have to switch off the AP and set it up again.
I was experiencing both incidents in the normally aspirated Bonanza and in the 58P.
