Released: BMWorld / Amsim San Francisco KSFO

Well, here’s today’s second 'out-of-the-blue airport! Available only at Ini currently but I’d expect it at most stores soon. Priey but it does look good, to be fair.

Mir at Flightbeam will no doubt be thrilled…

Ini have some sort of promotion but they’ve completely buggered it up and it’s nigh on impossible to fathom how it actually works! Something about 50% off any other BMW / Amsim products if you buy KSFO but there appear to be some caveats that aren’t well explained.

Discount works. Just enter code BMWAS-KSFO! at checkout. Don’t forget the ! at the end.

I think I’ll wait for flightbeam’s version.

I think that’s prudent. Even if BMW’s turns out to be better, you’ll be fully informed once they’re both released.

So what do we actually get a discount on? As far as I understand it, we pay full price for KSFO, but have to buy another BMW product bought with it, which will be discounted by 50%. Then any subsequent transactions involving BMW products will automatically default to 50% off.

Do you think it’s going to be better I’m debating if I should go for it

Flightbeam products tend to be superior. We shall wait and see.

Agreed…

I’ll grab BMWorld if nothing else exists / nothing on the horizon. Otherwise I’d sit tight.

I’ve been hearing some variation of “Flightbeam’s SFO is gonna be great!” and “SFO is coming from Flightbeam any time now.” for like a year or more.

I’ll probably buy this version this weekend.

Correct. Full price on SFO. 50% discount on any other Amsim/BMworld products. Not a bad deal. I picked up a couple other airports. I think you probably have to buy them all at the same time.

I bought this as a stand in until FB’s version comes out, but so far it crashes GSX. Some error that many have reported. Hoping for a fix before I can actually use the airport.

FlightBeam has shared new previews as of today, I posted link in original thread if you search on KFSO.

They also confirmed that no schedule changes have happened, no shortcuts have been taken and that no “under construction” signs are going to be found – a clear comment on the fact that the BMWorld & AmSim version is missing various parts of the product when it is released. To demonstrate this, two new previews were shown off.

BMW/Amsim have been extremely clever, offering the 50% discount on their other products. It shifts copies of KSFO at full price, while buyers are cajoled into buying other products they may not otherwise have bought.

Very effective marketing strategy.

GSX is allergic to this scenery!

BMW/Amsim already talking about an impending update, which will presumably fix GSX integration?

GSX is pretty much the defacto standard and not a new kid on the block, you would think most dev’s would be validating against it before launch.

Almost 2 years after GSX released, I am still amazed that many developers (even top-tiers) still put stupid static GSE on aircraft parking positions and block the GSX vehicles on duties. They do not even care to learn how GSX works before putting those things in their sceneries and think that it look realistic.

Update is live this morning on iniManager.

GSX issues apparently fixed.

Im glad im not the only one having problems with BM’s KSFO and GSX Pro. Whenever I try to start GSX I get a Couatl error message and an error log that states some unknown object is crashing GSX at pushback. Tried several other addon airports and they all work fine. Basically can’t use KSFO at all with GSX. Will uninstall and wait for Flightbeam version.

I no longer get the GSX crash but get very odd behaviors from GSX on this scenery (using Fenix V2, Latest GSX and have not had any issues in months with either until KSFO).

Examples are like the boarding process will just stop and the fuel truck will be stuck

Another time boarding was going and went from 70 passengers to full within 1 second but also never showed anyone boarding.

Push back tug connects but just sits and never begins to push after selecting which way to face

Belt loaders parked under the belly of the plane (even at push)

This is all with the RW GSX profile installed as well.
