[RELEASED] C510 Mustang | Cockspur

If you are having trouble starting engines click the base of the throttle levers, you need to do that to allow fuel to flow to the engines.

No, Im having trouble binding the switches to a button, not with the startup procedure itself.

Are we likely to see any updates to this product or is it dead end?

Is this available on the in-sim Marketplace?

Yes, it’s been in the marketplace for a few weeks now.

Thank you. I havent seen it there. I’ll check again.

This is a nice redo of the original Mustang which appeared in FS9, if I remember correctly. I have most everything operating normally but cannot get a view inside the cabin that shows the exit door straight on to unlock lock and open it. I discovered the only way to click the latch was by mousing over the pilot seat in line with where the latch would be. Found this by just moving the mouse by accident.
Can anyone tell me how to use my mouse to see the door straight on?

I use the mouse to move to the passengers and back of the plane but cannot get to the area where the door is located. Thanks

Did you get this figured out. The two engine start switches are on the main control panel see picture. These are only for starting not shutting down.

I eventually gave it up… I meant the two switches on the right of where you marked saying “ignition”. The starters work correct.

Perhaps I misunderstood your original question. I believe these two switches have to be in the on position to start each engine if they are both mapped. I generally do not start a flight in a cold dark cockpit. However that is the way the former Mustang required starting. Some of the switches in this new version are not mapped in the simulator.

what’s the limo and ambulance part mean? what if I want to fly a limo?

The only jet I fly is the CJ, and I keep looking at the VLJ’s and their more GA avionics suites for my ‘gone golfing in the Virgin Islands jet’. The C510 has better speed than the Vision and with over 150 hours in the Kodiak the avionics in this one are a no brainer.

How is this thing!? Considering all three VLJ’s have a different suite to invest time in, and the envelope of this seems ‘pleasant’ I just want to make sure it’s worth the time.

I am OK without VNAV, I can still get it within 30 seconds to manually control my altitude targets with good ol’ maths. I do like to hand fly anything and everything on landings/takeoffs so if it feels like the jet it looks like I’m happy. The FMS is not an entertaining part of flying for me.

The plane certainly has it’s own character aside from other bizjet addons.
While it’s not as fast as the HJet, the physics/weight/inertia make landings and hand flying very satisfying.

I think it’s the nicest business jet to fly in-sim at present.

Hi all, after reading this discussion I decided to give this title a try and just downloaded it. I’d like to follow some “trainig” before fire it up and fly. I see on youtube there are no tutorials “cold and dark”. But in the product advertising (bought it on marketplace) there is “extensive documentation”. Where can I find it?
Thanks in advance. Will post here my impressions after some use.
Ciao.

Jon Beckett shows how to start from cold and dark here.

Thanks. Some first hints.

Hello.
Some first things I noticed and would like to share: checklist option is blank. Do you have it? Just my problem?
Second: calls like “500” while landing are barely audible.
Despite of these two “bugs”, the aircraft is extremely friendly and easy to use. Compared to it, the TBM is way more susceptible.
Will try longer flights for further impressions.
If anyone knows about documentatio to read, please let me know.
Ciao.

Documentation is available via their Discord: Cockspur

I’m not at my sim at the moment, but I believe there is a checklist card either in the pocket in the footwell of the aircraft, or on the dash… Will have a look as soon as I can! For now, here’s screenshots of the relevant pages from the documentation, hope that’s okay:
