Updated GTN750 WTT mod for the Camair 480 by PMS50 this link is to their website download - (It’s for the WTT mod only-You still need to have the PMS50 GTN750 mod for it to work)-https://pms50.com/fs2020/gtn750/aircrafts/pms50-gtn750wtt-aircraft-hangar713-camair.zip

New Canopy inbound for 1.0.7

The red hue on the top of the interior roof is gone as well. I tried everything to get rid of that in the last texture and I assumed it was from the glow from the seats, so I changed the roughness and tried other colors and nothing I did would get rid of it. So I decided time to upgrade the entire canopy and see if it would fix it. No more Box look it’s completely rounded. New windows changed the glare not being so prevalent as well. In doing this though I had to modify the mesh for the interior and exterior fuselage connecting pieces. Added new mesh for the Rear Cargo in fixing this and new textures were needed for the Canopy and backside of the interior. I also added some rails to the interior and some floor trim where the carpet met each other from the sides to the floor. Fixed some textures on the interior as well with the pockets and other minor details. Now I’m going to give a try at some sounds. Specifically Canopy opening/closing sounds. Engine sounds when the canopy is open if you have it running while parked. And finally a working stall horn. The horn doesn’t work now because it has stock DA62 sounds and that uses the female voice with the G1000 and I thought instead of having the completely wrong sound I’ll fix it in an update. That’s where I stand as of today.

You’re the best! Appreciate your dedication.

I’ll do a flight and make a video of it once 1.07 is released.
I deleted the initial video of the release version with the FPS issues, as it is not representating the current state of the aircraft any longer.

Sounds like a plan. Thanks! I’m still trying to figure out the sounds. The model is complete and I just finished up some new textures today. I’ll start up the sim and give everyone a preview of what I’ve been up to.

More details on certain textures - Edge wear, dust, grunge - Also changed up some objects didn’t have the COMP file loaded and fixed an issue where my exporter wasn’t working correctly, so now they look as intended.

I took 1.07 of the aicraft for a flight, which frankly has been the first real flight with it since the FPS issue was resolved.

quite enjoyable, she is rather powerful. I will need to do some more testing with touchdown behaviour and practice, So I might do a lenghty flight with lots of bushstrip takeoff and landings with the ac tomorrow :+1:

If you are trying to STOL make sure those flaps are out at least 15 degrees and some trim helps out as well. If it’s a really short Takeoff or have some obstacles you might want to drop them after you start the roll to get more speed. It should lift off right around 85 knots, but don’t pull too hard or it’ll jump off the ground. You can keep it at around 65-70 knots for the climb, but those powerful 240’s on such a small plane you should be just fine! Enjoy the new look, Happy Flying!

for takeoffs, you also want to make sure to have a tiny bit of nose-up trim set prior to initiating your roll. the trim dial starts in the 6 o’clock position and i find moving to about 5 o’clock (or maybe 5:30) does me just about right. also to @B4Gunner’s point, easy back pressure starting at about 85kts will get you off the ground - previously i think i was pulling a little too much, a little too early.

i am finding that coming in with a little extra speed on landings makes things easier. i am carrying close to 100kts across the fence and dumping throttles right over the threshold. the brakes work really well so stopping distances are relatively short. if you get too aggressive in reducing power she’s going to bite you.

yes I realised she jumps off the runway when pulling the yoke too much on takeoff. thank you both for your advice :innocent:

@B4Gunner Not sure if this is for you or PMS50, but when I use the WTT package for the Camair, I can no longer switch between the 750 and 530 units. It automatically changes back to the 750 when I use the switch in the plane. If I take that mod out, I can switch just fine.

For now that is supposed to happen. The WTT mod only works with the GTN750. It makes it the default and only available unit. To be able to swap you have to disable the WTT mod. It will still work with the PMS50 mod by itself, but you won’t get all the added features of the WTT mod. My suggestion is to pick what you want to use before loading the sim. Can’t have the best of both worlds just yet, but hopefully SU10 will enable that feature. I might have to adjust the code, but we were forward thinking with SU10 in mind. Hope that explains it better.

Updating the manual with some new photos. Thought everyone might like a look or if anyone is still on the fence about the “Quality” of the interior.

Also if you are not already aware there is a GNS530 mod from PMS as well - I haven’t tried it yet, but I will tonight. - https://pms50.com/fs2020/gns530/pms50-gns530.zip
There is a thread about it here in the forums.

Just took a flight in the Camair from Plant city to Jacksonville. Wanted to say, the plane is looking awesome with all the latest updates and was a joy to fly. Exterior and interior modelling starting to look top quality. Great Job @B4Gunner
