Yup, it’s pretty amazing, and the BASS! I’ve got a 600 watt Klipsch Reference 2.1 setup with 12" sub, just WOW.
My only complaint is once you move forward of the intakes there is zero audible exhaust sound, just intake sound. You can’t even hear the burner come on, it’s totally silent. With the default sounds you can hear the burner come on even when directly in front of the plane.
I’d like to commend Echo 19 for their AAA production values. Everything from the promo videos to their new website, the quick start guide, the installer, and the included liveries. I LOVE the demo team livery. I really appreciate Echo 19 coming over to MSFS.
Glad you like it!
The exhaust sounds are usually not heard from the front when you’re close to the aircraft. You “feel” it more than anything, but this is difficult to translate without the rest of the audio suffering from it.
I’ll keep this in mind, but in reality, you’ll not hear the afterburner or exhaust from the front unless you’re standing a bit further away and the rear sounds have a chance to circle (like you hear at an airshow, for example, when the jet is spooling up for takeoff).
Honestly this package completely changes the F18 experience. From start up to shut down the exterior and interior sound upgrade fills your ears with rich tones and if you turn it up it will scare your neighbours with the enormous sonic booms.
Also working across multiplayer it brings military airfields and aircraft carriers to life.
Plus with 2 new exclusive liveries added to the package you get plenty of excuses to stay in the pilot seat.
Great addition to the sim IMO worth every penny.
Thanks for the kind words, mate.
does it also work for the Super Warrior mod?
It does. Feel free to check out the product listing on our website/Orbx to see the full feature list.
FS24 launch day is here! A quick PSA for our Super Hornet Audio Pack:
We have yet to test compatibility in FS24 with our addon’s current audio implementation. This means that you can expect an update to the audio pack in the near future, but there is no timeline yet. Please stay tuned to our social channels for an announcement of the relaunch of our audio for FS24!
We plan to update the Super Hornet’s audio package to meet FS24 standards in the future, though our first focus is compatibility and stability. This update will be free of charge for existing customers!
Thank you, and happy flying!
Is it possible to use this sound pack on the GKS F-111? It seems like that uses the default Super Hornet sounds, but with this sound pack installed, I am still hearing the default Hornet sounds with the F-111. The Hornet has the improved sounds.
Did you put these sounds in the F-111’s sound folder and recompile the layout.json file?
I did try removing the F-111 Sound and AI Sound folders, and replacing with the Echo 19 Sound and AI Sound folders, and recompiling the layout.json file, but then the F-111 wouldn’t appear at all in the aircraft menu in MSFS. I put the original folders that I had copied back and it reappeared. The sound files are actually identical in size, but the Echo 19 Sound folders just have an extra xml file.
The E19 package to my knowledge isnt yet 24 compatible. Im sure @TyFighter3910 will be bang on it tho, hes good like that
I’m still on MSFS2020
There is a portion on how to do this correctly in the user guide, did you try following those prompts?
Thanks. No, I wasn’t aware there was a user guide. Where can I find it? I bought the sound pack on the MSFS Marketplace.
Edit: NVM, I just googled and found the user guide online. Unfortunately it appears there is no aircraft.cfg as I bought the F-111 via Marketplace . I’ll try adding the sound edits to 3rd party liveries from Flightsim.to. Thanks.
If you go into your Official instead of community folder you should be able to find and edit the cfg files, if not let me know.
I looked in the Official folder. After researching, it seems that unfortunately at least some marketplace files are encrypted, including the aircraft.cfg. It should be all good though, as apparently you can edit any aircraft, cfg which is added with a livery, and I just found a pack of colour corrected liveries for the F-111 on Flightsim.to. Thanks.
