I want that floor trap!
I just bought MilViz’ PC-6 for FSX and it’s giving me a CTD repeatedly in VR so it’s a good job this one is coming for FS2020 - need my dependable PNG freight crate for Air Hauler/Neofly .
I wanted a great rendition of the Pilatus Porter PC-6 ever since I saw Air America. Unfortunately the last promising shot at the Porter (the Aerosoft one by Marcel Felde for FSX/P3D) took forever and then got cancelled.
Hopefully this one fares better! ![]()
This airplane looks incredible. How many people does this airplane seat? I think I may have a new payware to look forward to!!
Fantastic. Love the progress. What avionics are you planning to have? GNS530/430 combo and potentially GTN750 would be great.
Originally between 7 and 10 depending on the configuration. It has three rows of seats, so more comfortable version has 2 in each row and less comfortable 3 seats in each row plus the seat next to the pilot.
For me, this, Kodiak and Twin Otter is the ultimate bush-flying-passenger-hauling turboprop trio. All three are coming to MSFS. For pistons, I would go for Beaver, DC-3, and Islander (all coming to MSFS as well).
Hi Severeeno! Initial release will be with the default GNS 530/430.
A project I look forward to ! I flew the FSD Porter tens upon tens of hours, even made a couple of liveries
.
What I look for is a good simulation of the PT6 and flight modeling including its braking effect. Asobo has a lot of work to do before I suppose, to give us a proper turbine simulation. Maybe in SU4 ?
Concerning the gauges, contrary to some Porter aficionados here above, I would welcome a glass panel. Most of the turboprops that I see in videos (Kodiak, Caravan, Porter) in bush environments, have it now and it makes a lot of sense. Having the G1000 or even the G3x would be nice and realistic considering the real operations. The G750 was a definite asset flying in PNG and Indonesia in P3D with the 182, Comanche or An-2.
Anyway, great to see you so fired up by the project. Good luck !
How many of you guys are making this plane? I assume you are not the only one doing both the 3d modelling and coding?
There are three engineers are making this airplane at the moment.

Looking good. ![]()
Great updates! Almost daily progress. Great pace guys. I know the estimated (roughly) release is by the end of the year, but it seems with this pace you will be able to finish it and polish it up earlier.
Did you manage to find a workaround for the horrible turboprop model and the missing prop drag?
Both pretty important items, especially prop drag on the PC-6.
Yes, we made a new High Fidelity Flight Model (HFFM) from scratch. Propeller drag, Parasitic drag, lift-induced drag, Oswald efficiency number and horizontal stabilizer angle of incidence are balanced now. To “decode” MS/Asobo flight dynamics and engine configuration files, we have made a 600+ test flights. Now we understand how the MSFS 2020 flight dynamics engine works. This is very important event for our team, because we are able to control important aerodynamics events inside MSFS 2020!
That’s great. Especially the 200°C ITT drop during takeoff is still driving me mad with the default turboprops.
