[released] FSReborn FSR500

Ok awesome, glad it’s not just me.

A huge thanks for all you’ve done though, absolutely loving this bird! Slots very well into my top three aircraft to fly.

All the best,

Off the cuff and with a quick explore, the PAC 750 XSTOL, BS King Air, and C-160 all beat you to being the “first” turboprop using CFD

sadly i am in the same boat. had the same issue with the s4 sting (and may still, although i haven’t flown that plane in quite some time).

hopefully it gets fixed because i reported this on the sting a long time ago…

ahh perfect then I am not alone… makes me feel better to be honest… haha

This aircraft is extraordinary… I keep trying to find shortcomings… but I cannot. Of course, one can always nitpick a flight model… but knowing all the give-n-take involved… and considering the limitations of desktop simulations… the flight model is phenomenal… all the subtle interactions between … pitch/power/airspeed/vertical-speed… especially when banked/turning… remarkably predictable and accurate…

I was coming here to say the same thing.

Raul, you are a magician!

The Black Square TBM 850 also utilizes CFD.

Correct and imo not a bad flight model either. Yet another great product from BS without a doubt.

Regrettably though (ignoring glass v analogue preferences) it still has a few areas where it needs to catch up to the FSR 500.

And more correct Inuit. (Already Plural)

I took a quick flight today, mostly to test the sim’s stability after updating my system BIOS, chipset, and other drivers.

I was leveling off through 9,000 ft. @ around 190 kts. indicated, gear up, flaps retracted. Not paying too much attention to things - especially the fact that I was still at 95% power.

I got an “Airspeed! Airspeed! Airspeed!” warning. I couldn’t understand why, so I just ignored it. A couple of minutes later, all of a sudden the plane started shaking pretty violenty, and then BAM!

“You have overstressed the aircraft and caused severe damage.”

Notes to self:

  1. Know your V speeds (Vmo is 188 KIAS.)
  2. When the warning system yells at you, listen to her.

I learned this earlier in my marriage… wife is the alert system… I just follow her alerts and so far everything is working perfect at home… :rofl:

Ah yes…the SWMBO system. :rofl:

You probably meant… commandments, not alerts? :wink:

Does anyone know if a real fully authentic Garmin 1000 simulation with all features this cockpit layout line offers is available as DLC for MSFS? (Similar to the GTN750 or GTN750Xi)

Not available sorry. The default G1000 is at good as it gets.

As far as I am aware the Working Title G1000NXi simulation is the highest fidelity available in MSFS and there is no external version. And even if there were, it would not work with the FSR500 as that uses custom code for the EICAS and other core aircraft systems.

G1000’s are not generic they are type specific where as the GTN’s are. So a G1000 would need to be customised on a per aircraft basis rather than the generic one type fits all nature of the GTN’s. Much harder to do and much smaller market hence why there are no really hi fidelity ones. The WT G1000 although default is thx best I’ve seen so be thankful for what we have.

For future reference: when an alert tells you “airspeed!” it’s safe to assume that something is wrong with your current airspeed. :smile:

(and when someone asks you if you are a God, you say yes!)

The airspeed indicator has different colors on the speed tape for reference too.

Green = good

Yellow = so, so, as long as you are not maneuvering.

Red = just no!

Hahaha. He better watch out for the one that says Landing Gear next :slight_smile:

@BegottenPoet228 just a heads up, that one is not referring to the fact that your aircraft has landing gear :wink:

Nice GB reference. :slight_smile:

I’ve just checked and it does not. I’m a little surprised about that
