So is anyone having issues trimming out the R3? Mine literally wants to go right all the time. I trim left and it still drifts right even when level. It’s impossible to go straight unless i hold wings to roll left. Any help would be appreciated.
Does anyone know the Discord?
this girl have very sensitive center of rudder control, and i don’t sure she has a rudder trim. so probably same as me you have to use some dead zone for rudder axis

I’ve been searching a lot now, but couldn’t find an answer anywhere… Has there ever been an update to make the canopy openable?
Not yet, our team is working on converting this 3D model from the old Blender exporter to the new Asobo Blender exporter. After that transition, we will be able to improve 3D modeling aspects. This won’t be anytime soon because we will need to take special consideration in regards to all the community liveries that have been released.
We wouldn’t want a canopy changed to break all the amazing community content that has been released for this aircraft.
Cheers

@DigitalJonx Are you still planning on updating this plane?
Update is in the works, we are waiting until after our Astro One release. After that, we will put another week into it and then ship it.
$5.00? I read this thread today and was about to spend $15.00 on this super cool aircraft. Then I scrolled to the end and saw…
$5.00 !!!
Off to add it to my hanger. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Yup … the Gee Bee is not my usual type of ride but as it’s from my favorite producers at this price I couldn’t resist. It sure is fun to fly and incredibly I absolutely nailed my first and as yet only landing in it.
Can you even see the runway over the nose on final?
I’ll take my first Gee Bee flight later today.
I usuallly fly gliders and without a motor controlled sideslip is high on the agenda. A decent crosswind can actually make such crab landings easier.
This is not my grandfather’s Bonanza.
Fitst takeoff roll I firewalled the throttle and promptly nosedived the prop into the tarmac. Adjusted for the plane’s horsepower and got a nice, quick takeoff. Had to apply some right aileron - I’m guessing to compensate for some pretty strong prop torque. Once I got up to altitude (which happened really fast, as this thing’s Vy is impressive) and pulled the throttle back, the wings leveled out nicely.
Flew around Vegas a bit, doing some quick rolls and loops. The Gee Bee’s throttle response is pretty cool.
Came back to KLAS for my first landing. The plane bleeds speed on approach reasonably well, and I was able to settle it down for a nice touchdown at 77 kts. Roll out was easy, although I can see I’m going to have to adjust rudder - and especially brake - sensitivity in this little taildragger’s profile.
Hat’s off to Got Friends. What a fun plane. Really beautiful liveries as well. Best $5.00 I’ve spend on anything in a while. Go get this plane if you haven’t already.
