RELEASED! Just Flight Bae146 "the Little Jumbojet" April 29th

Page 246 of the 146 manual on the JF site has a trim/CG chart which helps too if you don’t want to use the EFB automatic adjustment.

Ive noted this. I’ll keep checking back for the answer

At the moment it is not possible to update the UNS-1s Navdata on Xbox as the UNS-1 uses its own custom Navdata that is separate from that of the simulator’s default Navdata. On PC, the UNS-1s Navdata can be updated through the Navigraph Hub desktop app (an active Navigraph subscription is required) and we are currently working with Navigraph to see if we may be able to add an option for Xbox users to update their Navdata too (this will likely also require a Navigraph subscription, but we will confirm more details once we are closer to releasing this).

The ‘Modern’ FMS option uses the simulator’s default Navdata are will therefore automatically use the latest Navdata in the simulator on both PC and Xbox (no Navigraph subscription required).

why add something knowing a percentage of your customers won’t be able to use it? Not all of us have PC’s or want to pay extra to use something that should already work. Its an already expensive add-on being made more expensive to get full functionality.

Because there are limitations with sticking to the built in nav database structure, apparently. It’s the exact same with the PMDG 737 and 777 - Navigraph is required for the latest AIRAC since those aircraft FMS’ are independent of the default nav database.

I’d much rather have two FMS options, one of which needing* Navigraph, than only having one less-realistic option.

  • you can use the UNS-1 without Navigraph, you just won’t get the most up to date AIRAC info which you can usually work around.

Sooo… because you can’t have it, I can’t have it?

Couldn’t care less about PMDG , I purchased this JustFlight aircraft that now has multiple inop systems on xbox.

Where did I say that ?

Ergo: When prompted with situations that a percentage can and a percentage can’t use it, decide not to install the ability in such cases.

Which is my point , PC can add stuff easily , xbox can’t, if it doesn’t work on xbox then remove the option to have it, same as with the map/weather radar.

Why it bothers you so much? Switch to modern FMC and forget about UNS-1. Problem solved.

I liked using the UNS , right up until the point it didn’t work like it should. I paid for the add-on , is it too much to ask that it works ?

Then blame Microsoft for blocking xbox owners from loading files onto their own consoles. It’s not JF fault you cannot update navdata. I don’t know why custom made FMC cannot access MSFS navdata but considering Fenix and PMDG planes cannot access it as well, there must be something wrong with it.

The data exists already in the sim , i’ve proven this as you can create the flight correctly with up to date nav data using the MSFS in sim map.

Actually custom FMC from inibuilds (a310, a300, a320) or from the ATR can use both sim or navigraph navdata. So it’s totally possible but up to the developers to allow that…

All these planes were released under Asobo umbrella (apart of A300) and iniBuilds is in close relations with Asobo. They may have an exclusive access to Navblue data.

I think it’s just an API to use the in-sim navdata, that any developer may use. But the navblue navdata is probably encoded differently than the jeppesen one (just a guess as I have no clue about that and it would be interesting to have a justification from jf or another developer on why it’s not possible to use navblue navdata in their fmc), thus the incompatibility, which is a shame.

Previously I asked the same question in this thread and found that perhaps the in-sim database is lacking a few features that the Navigraph one has. Maybe the UNS needs some of that information, but I could certainly be wrong.

Looks like Navigraph maps support has been added to the upcoming RJ. Hopefully EFB in Bae146 will receive this feature as well.

Just picked this up during the last JF sale. Loving it! I’ve been a committed GA simmer for a long time, but the DC-6 and now the BAe-146 are starting to change my mind.

Amazing level of detail in the model and the systems, took a long time to get somewhat comfortable with what’s involved with operating an aircraft like this. Great flight model - I like to hand fly as much as possible so overall feel is so important and I think they’ve nailed it.

But, I do find it be VERY heavy on the frame rate. Is this common? Where I can see a solid 60 fps (capped) in the DC-6, I’ll see 40-45 fps in the same conditions in the 146. Add some weather and it gets choppy for sure.
Any tips for optimizing the cockpit?
