RELEASED! Just Flight Bae146 "the Little Jumbojet" April 29th

The issue is on normal runways, e.g. EHRD. So no short field take off.

High OAT will reduce performance and it’s also worth noting that the default payload is close to MTOW, so you might need to reduce fuel/payload depending on the runway length.

Thx will check that!

If i were you mate, I’d just persevere and keep up the learning on the BAe and learn your VORs as well

Get yourself littlenavimap and navigraph and just learn VOR off youtube and transfer learning videos off youtube on various aircraft onto the BAe. .

Keep that learning with at least “cycling closer with just one of those trainer wheels” going so you dont forget

Its quite easy to learn VORs once you get the basics!! Focus on VOR to VORs airports first, master that, then just visual landings, then maybe add another VOR/multiple VORs that second VOR can be tuned for the F/O sear and you can glance over to see where in relation you are to your next vor
Then start practicing VOR/ILS approaches and landing

Basially if you do a VOR to VOR on littlenavmap (make sure you select the VOR and not airports
) it will gove you a distance and a radial
dial your departure VOR in and then selct preset and preset your arrival VOR then dial in your radial cource. As you depart you want to climb and then turn towards where the vertical line is then start adjusting heading as that needle drifts to the center and keep those needles all centered
or use heading and basically turn to a 90° /steep heading/ and to where the vertical needle is and select the v/l button and let autopilot do the rest

Hoping for some suggestions
only engine 1 is starting. What is wrong

I had this issue before, and then the suggestion was the DC pump. But all is off now.

Appreciate the tips and incentive

cheers!

best tip is to follow closely this. im sure you will find out. hope it helps.

Hmm, it’s not that. I do follow the checklist. When I reload, it starts fine, following the exact same steps.

The only thing I did not do was an AC/DC pump test, so my feeling is this somehow can create a blocking issue for the engine start up.

Your start master switch is off. There should be a white annunciator Start Pwt On lit below the start power switch.

Out of curiosity l
what is the dc pump for and what are we now looking for when turning it on?

It originally was for the yellow?? Hydrolics Pump but it was some bug which is now been fixed

The DC pump is now to only pressurize the brake system (the brake accumulator) which is as in a real aircraft, I believe. The yellow system is pressurized by the AC pump only (and of course also with Eng 2 pump).

The only time you’ll see an affect as far as I know, is if everything hydraulic is off & the yellow brake pressure’s deteriorated a bit - DC pump will recharge it.

I believe others had a similar problem with the mixture bindings. Someone else may know for sure, but I think the mixture needs to be full rich to work. Yes, this is a jet, but for some reason it caused issues.

The DC pump also assists with the emergency gear deployment.

Thx for assisting, but that is not the issue. I turned that off when the engine wasn’t starting, but of course it was on when trying to start the engines. I know how to start the engines, because after a simple reload of the flight and following the exact same steps, all works fine.

I really think it is a bug somewhere.

I have a major problem with this aircraft
the problem is that It takes up ALL of my free time;)

Help I have a velocity one and the bae 146 is like a bucking bronco handflying .Disabling the trim wheel and assigning buttons helps a little but still very unstable on flight. Should it be like this . To me does not seem right .Maybe I will stick with the crj and 737 bae 146 too dangerous to fly lol.

This has been my problem from the start. I chalked it up to being a GA pilot unfamiliar with managing jets. It shoots nearly vertical and requires heavy yoke to keep level. Trying to trim it while pushing the yoke (in VR) can cause me to plummet.

Probably the best looking plane in my fleet but the one with the fewest hours. If it had a conventional AP I might stick with it, but the system it has seems obtuse to me. Maybe when I retire I’ll have the time to learn it.

The BAE is pretty easy to handfly, but yes you’re totally right, that you have to work with the trim, maybe much more than a CRJ or a 737. I don’t have those, so I can’t say.
My main problem in the beginning was, I overshoot with the trim and then you’re are sitting on your „bronco“.
Use it smooth and calm and watch how the Aircraft reacts, then you will get it in place. It’s a more like one of the small prop aircraft than a jet.
