Just spotted it on YouTube, I thought it was a complete chair before, I’ll check it out, birthday coming soon. Does it impact pc performance at all, it looks like it usb’s into the pc?
The one I’m looking at says for Xbox, does it plug into pc as well or is it a different one? - you’re using it on pc so that answers my question I guess.
There is also Buttkicker who’ve been around for some time, started for simracers iirc. I haven’t tried anyone’s product. I think they basically behave like the rumble features in gamepads, but not really sure.

What are you looking at? It works for both BUT for Xbox it ONLY goes off the audio jack (using bass I guess like the Shaker things) and nowhere near as good. On PC it is USB yes (and 1 mains cable), and has software that links with MSFS to create the effects in more dynamic way.
It is also still taking bass into account (it’s why all aircraft feel different I think… my eyes nearly fell out when I dropped the revs in the Goose! Such a big low frequency throbbing rumble… was so epic!) but seems to mix that with other info about revs, and the attitude / state of the aircraft that it takes from SimConnect to vary the feelings more interestingly and blend them. And you can customise what things in the flight do what things on the seat (8 motors), and to what intensity. I made a profile that is pretty cool now for all planes.
There is still much room for improvement in the software but they are going to work on it more apparently. Good enough for now though! I got it for my birthday too. Very pleased with it TBH but check the HF8 topic here (just search, it will come up) as there is a maybe even better (free) software solution - which doesn’t work for me but I don’t care.

Yeah but keep an eye on Amazon. You’re in UK aren’t you? The price changes every day. A few days ago it was just £235 including import duty.
Yeah, I’m uk, it’s currently £264 on Amazon and £229 via Next Level……it’d do for Forza on the Xbox as well, if I ever get time for it.
As I say keep an eye on Amazon and you could get it cheaper if that’s your preferred retailer. Apparently Overclockers UK have stock at retail price now though.

It is! It’s got a massage mode if you install that other free software lol.
Or you could set her up to fly something beefy on autopilot and she can relax watching the beautiful scenery of places she’ll never visit in real life whilst getting a massage. Upsell it!! 
You might never get her out of your chair though

Personally, I like the way the sim is expanding, fly to a riverside location, paddle down the river. Got friends are certainly pushing the sim into new territory with the Astro, Lake Skipper and now the canoe. It can only be good….in my opinion.
I’d like to see the possibility of flying a plane, grabbing a parachute and skydiving out the back. Cruising around the solar system in whatever.
I’m going for a paddle around the Okavango Delta when I get a chance.
