[RELEASED] Rara-Avis Sims Horten IX (Ho229)

Well, you could look at the reactions to the prices of the recently released F-86 and the P-47 and maybe find some inspiration…

She likes to “float”, so it’s quite slow.

Well being a flying wing that is expected it wants to fly, is the AoA very high when landing? I guess the answer is “we have no idea” but how does it behave in the sim? I assume it is using CFD.

Yep, she takes off on her nose wheel as it should, it feels weird as the pilot view point looks down at the runway, takes a bit of getting used to. AoA on landing is quite high, but at least you can see where you are landing. No CFD on this one, we may update this in the future depending on feedback, but she flies very nicely in my opinion

Good catch, or was it on purpose… :sunglasses:

Exciting news. I take it the same usual stores as your previous addons?

Yep, Just Flight and iniBuilds stores.

I suppose this goes some way to making the honking great nosewheel seem slightly less absurd.

I’ve spotted a (very trivial) error in the manual. In the Specifications (Estimated) page it states:

Gross weight: 7515 kg (1,656 lb)

I do believe the pounds figure is out by a factor of ten.

Incidentally, there are only two aircraft currently on my Must Buy NOW! list: AzurPoly’s OV-10 Bronco - and this.

Nose and main gear have different light colors for up/down.

Nose gear (Bugrad) up (Ein) is green, down (Aus) is red.

Main gear (Hauptfahrwerk) up is red, down is green.

Three for me: the piston Duke, the XF-11 and this.

You have good taste!
I assume the Dornier Do-31 is also on your list when released. That one would be fun, and unique.
The Azurpoly OV-10 Bronco is also a must have for me.
Wallet is ready.

Those I mentioned are instant purchases for me, the Dornier probably after some positive reviews.

Definitely a day 1 buy for me also- along with the FlightFX Avanti. I have the XF-11 already and I love flying it. There’s an engine and flight model mod on flightsim.to for it that I highly recommend- it be of the big reasons being it adds auto-lean and auto-lean to the plane.
Is the Ho-229 gonna be released before or after SU15?
