[RELEASED] Rara-Avis Sims Pou du Ciel (Flying Flea)

Outside of the marketplace Just flight, Got Friends and Orbx are the only 3PDs I’ve ever bought from, all without issue and I only ever pay online using Paypal so my money is safe anyway. I’ve also not had a sniff of malware in the two years this PC has existed (never open email attatchments unless 100% expected).

Ooops! … Add UK Coastlines to that list, great support and also without such issues.

@Baracus250 posted a challenge in the Bulldog Gyro thread to land that contraption inside the Aloha Stadium in Hawaii and I had quite a bit of fun doing that, but then I thought why not try it in the Flea? So I did.

I lost count of how many attempts this took but I spent the better part of an hour trying. and I finally did it… kinda. I snuck in through the side and also came down quite hard. But I landed on all wheels and lived to tell the tale. My flight engineer definitely won’t be too happy with me, however.

I’d like to thank the Anemoi for providing me with the 15 to 20 knot winds that made this possible. :palms_up_together:

LMAO

Awesome… that’s one way of doing it
That was hilarious. That thing is so precarious with no rudder

When you said sneaked in the gap, I thought you meant the UPPER gap

Actually from that angle you could have taken your time to get down a bit more instead of the V(to)L

Zenith next? We just gonna post a video in every single aircraft thread here? Concorde?

Yeah the coupled rudder thingy makes it quite hard to manouver slowly in strong winds. I actually managed to land it a few more times before this one but I kept on nosing it over for some reason. This heavy ‘stall’ landing is what sealed the deal though.

After you! I did try a few times in the Zippysport but gave up for the night. I got close a couple of times, even accidentally landed on the roof, but lack of flaps and the light weight means the high winds in live weather push the Zippy around like crazy at low speeds and I was stalling like mad. I’ll try again tomorrow and scout out some more locations for our new sport.
