[Released] SF50 Vision Jet G2

even on simbrief with max fuel

Ok, I’m confused. Is MSFS saying it’s out of range or is Simbrief saying its out of range? You’re not making sense to me.

@Nikkoum version check?

Searchable for me on the Mac.

Simbrief takes into account several things, including ALT destination and Winds Aloft to determine how much fuel you need (including reserve). I’ve noted pretty strong winds in the US the last couple of weeks, so if you’re flying generally westward into the wind, you’ll be more range-limited.

On your particular trip, a) removing the ALT airport, and b) for kicks, try reversing Origin and Destination to see how much the wind is factoring in. There’s a specific field in the SImbrief output which shows the average calculated wind. Examples: P080 means you’ll net 80 knots of tailwind (P=Plus), and M090 means Minus 90 knots.

Yes I reckon it’ll probably be the alternate. That takes the flight out of range - typing NONE in the alternate will probably fix that.
You don’t really need to reserve the plan to see wind effects - the navlog will show ground miles and air miles. If the air miles are less than the ground miles you have a positive wind component and vice Versa.

Just want to make sure you guys have this bug, the pressurization doesn’t start down until basically when you are landing. Holds 8000 all the way down to 2000 feet or so.

Just checked - manual on this page is searchable. Link copied from FFX site.

That’s just “imposter syndrome” Marketing and Engineering are equally important (despite what the engineers think). I say that as an engineer.

The photo is great too. It has a vague Star Wars/Darth Vader feel to it. Makes me want a shiny black livery (or vantablack) for this airplane.

You and the FlightFX team all did some ■■■■ fine work! These kids of releases are hard, You want the release to be perfect, but it does also have to get released

[Mod Edit: Moved out of Beta AAU 1 because these questions specifically pertain to the third party Vision Jet]

Not sure if I needed to keep all those predefined sections.

Anyway, tried the vnav on the vision jet today. Never descended despite having entered altitudes for each fix in the flight plan. Enabled vnav. Flew right by TOD without any response from the nav.

Oh well. Not calling this a bug per se because it could be
A) me not knowing what I’m doing wrong
B) something that is not yet functional by design
C) not yet updated in 3rd party planes?

It doesn’t have coupled VNAV yet. Only advisory. As explained in the manual.

Yeah. I saw this in the beta notes and thought it was implemented.

I guess it’s option C then. Need to wait for FFX to implement it in the vision jet?

The FFX planes have their own customized version of the old G3000 mod included with the planes. The new G3000 is a completely new unit not using any of the mod code.

It will take some developer effort for them to port their aircraft to the new G3000. I would expect a few weeks to a month or two of work to port, so it will not be an immediate process.

In the mean time we have two patches that are scheduled to go out to tide you over. The second patch will likely have a basic VNAV and some other quality of life fixes that many have been asking about. When that list is solidified we will post it here. - NikkoUM [FlightFX Z-5]

Simple VNAV should be available in an upcoming patch.

I believe they said they would add VNAV when the WT update was out. I’m not sure if that can happen during the beta but would be nice.

Where is the manual?

[Mod Edit: end questions moved out of AAU 1 Beta forum]

I don’t care that much about VNAV. I would be happy if I can add a functional route. What I haven’t tried so far is to remove the WT3000. And yes, I would expect the manual as PDF.

Routes are functional for most people. I would look to some kind of local reason for your issue.

A few posts up, but here’s the link again:

This plane is cool but when i turn on the batt switches or anything
the avionics don’t turn on. Nothing is bound to these switches.,..
