Depends if the flaps are on the inlet or exit side I guess - I’ve no idea about the design of this oil cooler though. This particular aircraft behaves as you’d think though, more open the oil shutters are the more cooling the oil gets. How much for a given opening does vary, but I’ve found I actually prefer playing with the mixture vs the shutters, unless something is rising/falling fast.
