[Released] Wing42 Boeing 247D

I am very impressed by this aircraft. One question I have is can the fuel wobble pump be bound to an axis or key? It would help with starting the engines.

Standalone, or embedded? Embedded needs a developer aircraft work that’s still work-in-progress.

Hah my dare wasn’t serious! I mean it’d be awesome if you did but no pressure or anything. You do what you want to do, mate! That being said, if there are any devs out there working on a classic 50s or 60s airliner…

Implementation of Loran was discussed at one time in Redwings discord in relation to the Connie development. Don’t know if it’s part of the planned features. If anyone would do it they would.

Okay, no “/work” folder I can find. Can you let me know the correct file I need to delete to get the engines running again?

You do not need to delete any folder. Just switch everything off (fuel selectors) and electric (master, starter and magnetos), lean mixture, back propellers (if any of this is “not as cold and dark”) and then open then again. And advance the mixture and open fuel before priming the engine, otherwise the fuel will not move through the engine.

For the store installation go to C:\Users{username}\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\packages\wing42_boeing_247d\work

But, by the way, am I the only one who has the CHT rising all the way up till 400? I can deal with all the oil temp and pressure and so on but CHT is always at the top, no matter the OAT and even quick to 500 after the takeoff… (I mean, I am able to fly for long trips the DC6 without AFE but this…)
I don’t understand what’s wrong with my installation or whatsoever!

Normally the CHT is linked to the mixture. I flown the B247D for sometime now with 0 issues (except the couple of times I got distracted and forgot to check oil presa) and my CHT never goes beyond 210F. I fly normally with rich mixture.

Thanks, but so do I… I tried to install it lots of time, changing all the parameters, dealing with mixture and oil but nothing changes. If I fly without realism settings CHT rests at 100, as I check the realism op it rises suddenly in cruise, takeoff, landing, low altitude, high altitude… boh

It should be 200, not 100… anyway. Check that you do not have anything in the sim that can affect the management of the engine, ie automixture selected or smth.

Thank you for your replies, unfortunately every things are checked and set… I really can’t understand

I made a video to help going around the “engine non starting” bug. It is 100% guaranteed and you do not neet to delete any folder or file. Watch it here in English:

FSUIPC implamentation please. FSUIPC works, but not visualy! And too much electrical failures. By the way… it was never possible for me to do a manual gears driveout/retract.

At the end
Very nice addon!

Cheers

For some reason I had the electrical gear motor failing on me twice after I just got the plane and now it never happens anymore. I don’t know if it’s just random or if there is a user error involved (amps, battery drain etc.).

Always remember to put the gear lever in neutral after raising the gear. I’m not sure if that might the cause for the fuse burning out, but it can’t hurt.

What do you mean FSUIPC doesn’t work visually? If you have the correct Lvars, they work fine for me.

throttles aso doesn’t move but works.

Do you use the ENG THROTTLE 1 and ENG THROTTLE 2 events?

Nop because i have only one throttle. Never done that. I will check this out.

Brilliant.Thankyou.
