Make sure you have all of the WT options available from the Marketplace, with the possible exception of the TBM enhancement. Then go to your Content Manager and make sure that there are no WT that are not installed. There are a couple of items in there that bridge the newer avionics into 3rd party aircraft.
Thank you very much.
Be careful with the update you may need to check it works because the new G3x suite is really different, WT made a LOT of changes to the G3x touch and now it is really an awesome piece of avionics and thatās why I asked you if the planes were using this avionics and not the old one. It is a day vs night difference!
The W10 with the new G3X will be a beast, looking forward to fly that!
Yepā¦ I am working on that now. Just chatted with WT on how to configure the new system. Totally different.
Kind of sad that they couldnt just make it retrofit, zero handling, with same name. Here, its renamed, has additional components, model settings in the model XML, etc. A lot of reconfiguring. But at least I have a plane (XCub) as a template to go by to see how its done.
Butā¦ Grumbling aside, it looks nice! I look forward to doing some flights with it to see how it does.
Note: I will be updating the Tailwinds and the Tailwind Bush Model as soon as possible. I am presently testing the package in MS. Once in-house testing is done with this new panel, I will then upload and run its MS Store testing and then I can ship it out. Will probably be 3 weeks.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to upgrade the avionics. Really appreciated.
When you see how well the new G3x touch suits the W10 you will be amazed, it will be a complete different plane.
Heads up and progress report on the G3X. Adding this new unit has proven to be difficult.
First, it took quite a few battles to get it fully working. It seems they at wt have been changing the way autopilots work. For instance, the settings in the system config changed. If you do not find the new settings, your AP will not work. Copying out the system config / autopilot section got it to work, but if you reload, its broke again.
Second, I found a bug in the system. The Autopilot will not function in the plane if you reload your aircraft or restart the flight. This is grim for developers because thats all we do is reload, reload, reload, reload, all day long, testing, adjusting, adjusting, testingā¦ grimā¦
I am having to restart testing once again at Microsoftā¦ I just found this newest bug today and have reported it to MS.
(This is why I like the older versionsā¦ they work fineā¦ )
Please be patient. Most of you do not ever need to reload the plane or flight, so it usually will not happen to you. On the side of testers and developers, its a huge bug.
Noteā¦ When your AP bar turns solid dark blue, with no section separators, your AP system is offline. Sometimes the separators do show, but nothing turns on, nothing shows. Buttons work fine. Thats a clue, besides buttons not working when it goes into its sleep mode.
I think there are two options, but I forget their names, and Iām not at my sim to check. One is on the āBehaviorsā window, something like quick reload. Then I think on the aircraft editor there is an option called āresyncā or something close to that. Does the issue occur for both?
