Remove the Top Bar, put elements in the EFB

Hello,

As a user, I would like to see the top upper bar disappear. It has been, for me (subjective) an immersion breaker. And it also break my flow when I try, for example, to test the Engine Fire (as 9/10 times I have to move my custom camera to avoid miscliking on the bar elements).

I feel like we can think about two solutions the said elements (weather, ATC, …) :

  • having the “poppable” window fully included in the tablet. I understand this may not work well for ATC / Weather, for technical reason (refreshing the tablet ?)
  • having the buttons on the tablet and keep the poppable respective window, just “move the bar to an interface in the tablet”. Maybe some planes don’t have the tablet, I do think that you always have it launched (default keybind TAB).

A simple wish for more immersion.

I think that would improve immersion, especially in VR. However, several planes do not have the EFB and according to some, it’s a feature not a bug.

At the least, make the EFB work in VR!

Can you confirm that even by using the TAB key (which is the default key to bring the EFB on screen) on planes not having the EFB, the EFB won’t pop up ?

Or, if you want me to do the test, can you tell me which aircraft does not have the EFB ?

Using TAB, it will pop up. But it’s way to large, even on the “small” setting and occludes a large part of the screen.
