Removing "rogue" taxiway lights?

I’ve downloaded ADE & understand that I need to duplicate a default airport before being able to make changes.

My home airport (N14) needs some things fixed, among which are taxiway lights, some of which are in the taxiway itself where it enters and exits the runway.

(Another major thing is needing to move the beacon to the correct location).

What’s the most straightforward way to do this?

thanks

Dunno if it is possible directly in ADE (maybe @ScruffyDuckJon knows)
, but in the scenery editor you can use LightSupport remove either the light effect and the 3d object

ADE works great at accomplishing this. You can load a stock airport, mass select taxiways on the overhead map, and then uncheck both ‘right edge’ and ‘left edge’ taxiway lights in the properties edit box. Just make sure you know how to select multiple taxiway segments at once so you don’t have to do everything segment by segment (takes forever).

Make an exclude polygon over the default beacon and place the new one wherever you’d like.

I think the OP is asking how to remove just the misplaced (rogue) taxi lights, not how to remove all taxi lights. MSFS is very sloppy with taxi lighting, often placing them in the intersection of two taxiways. It’s annoying even while I try to ignore this sloppy design. I am a long time user of ADE but the only way I have found to create realistic taxi lighting (I base my placement on both Google Earth and FAA Circular) is to place an apron light vector object at the point where I want a single light, each vector is only several feet long so it only renders one light. This is very timely but I have successfully done it with my KCRP (flightsim.to) and I am quite pleased with the result. It takes so much time, I’d only do it to a few airports LOL. Learn to ignore the MSFS sloppiness.

Exactly.

Is the vector object you use to place the lights a line or polygon?

Sure would be nice if there were better object logic…

The object I am referring to is Apron Lighting. There is a button to select apron lighting on the menu bar, next to the Add Apron button. I might be wrong in that it is a line kind of object with vertices, regardless there isn’t a taxi light object. Apron light is only option. The placed single light will look like a short blue bar, keep it short like about 5 ft to ensure you only place one light.
