Renaming Controls Devices No Longer Working

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

The provision for renaming controls in the Controls Devices List is no longer working. My custom names have all reverted to their defaults and, when attempting to change them to my preferred names, they do not update with the new names.

NOTE: This was working correctly in SU3.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every Time

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

1. Open Controls window when in cockpit

2. Click “gear” next to device name

3. Select “Rename”

4. Type in new name and click OK

5. Note name in Controls window remains the original default name

Did you save and back then check it?

Did you quit FS2024 and the Start FS2024 and check it?

Like Ron Suggests, I’ve found that much of the Controls settings requires clicking the “Save and Back” button.

However, I just tried this myself and it didn’t work for me either.

It seems everything is saved in a database and this interaction is buggy. I’ll take the opportunity again to say it needs a Cancel Button too!

Further, there is no “Save and Back” on the Controls pane available in-cockpit.

I did close and reopen the pane, but the names remained their defaults.

Winwing Orion 2 throttle
2 Bu0836A and one Bu0836X controllers

No Mods. The pic bellow was taken when I observed the problem but then I disabled mods and restarted the sim and it does the same.
