I’m interested in the Reno Air Race T-6 and P-51. I don’t care too much about the racing aspect but it’s always nice to have a P-51 and a T-6 in your collection
So what I’m asking myself before I buy anything is this:
did Asobo model systems like throttle pitch, mixture, radio, navigation etc.?
in the 20,-€ package there is an additional set of T6, P-51, Pitts and L39 that don’t seem to be present in the big 60,-€ package. Why is that? Are they slower? In what way do they differ?
are the P-51 and T-6 worth having in the “real” MSFS world or are they just nice looking toys to zoom around the pylons?
I don’t have the answer but took a look at the the marketplace and had to laugh loud.
The base package now comes with -86% discount, from €419,99 for ‘only’ €59,99
I call that a sense of black humor
well theoretically it’s the price if you buy all 40 planes and the 19.99 beginners package. So mathematically it makes sense - almost: because if you really add it up you only get 419.59
I’m not sure I follow, unless you’re referring to turning off the tooltips - but that’s not what I meant, my apologies if I wasn’t clear.
What I mean is: with so many inoperable/inoperative/not working switches I have a feeling the DLC is mostly a bunch of liveries with not much else to it - of course from a very personal standpoint!
I do not want to buy things I won’t use and I’m following this thread because, like Archer374, I’m not interested in the racing aspect but only in a couple of planes.
I also bought the DLC mainly to fly the P-51, T-6, L-39 and S-1 in everyday flying mode.
Yes, they are fully functional planes. Throttle, pitch, mixture, trim, etc. all work. Lights, fuel selectors, radios, GPS, and other navaids all seem to function normally. Nothing important to ordinary flying has jumped out at me as missing yet, other than the lack of systems depth that you see in all Asobo planes, and of course the canopies don’t open.
I went for the 59.99. I like having all of the planes with all of the cockpit variations. There are at least 7 different planes available - P-51A, stock P-51D, T-6, souped up P-51D, L-39, stock Pitts, and modded Pitts - and among all 40 planes, no two cockpits are the same, so it feels like even more. Even though there are clearly some bugs and glitches, it’s good value for 59.99 if all of the planes interest you.
