Hello:
For the last few days, I am getting constant Connected … Not Connected … the whole time I have the simulator running. I don’t know if it’s affecting my flights but it’s very annoying, all the beeps. I have restarted the sim (no change), restarted the computer (no change)! My internet speed - not wi-fi, direct connection - 25Mbps. I’m stumped. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Hi @ArtfulDodger254,
This sounds like:
As was reported by @Chewwy94 at the time (September 1st):
Looking at the Azure Status page, no outages are reported as I’m typing this today (September 6th).
- Can you provide the geographic region that you are in (Europe / Asia / Americas, etc.). This will help if others are experiencing this issue today.
- If others post to this thread reporting the same problem, please post your geographic region too.
Thanks!
FYI, I’ve also changed the title of your post to help with future searches.
My area is North Europe (25 ms). I just changed to West Europe (25 ms) to see if that’s any better - thanks for the question because I had forgotten I could change!
Hi @ArtfulDodger254 ,
If you are referring to the servers listed under your gamer tag at the top-right corner in the sim, those servers are just for multiplayer. From this post:
This only shows you which multiplayer server (selectable by the player) you are currently using for online multiplayer traffic. It does not affect which Azure data center you are connected to for other services such as Bing Maps scenery streaming, live weather, Marketplace downloads, Content Manager updates, and so on. That is determined by the system automatically based on your location and cannot be selected by the end user (unless you change your network location using a VPN).
Hope this clarification helps!
