Replace the atmosphere parameters with more accurate ones from ARPC

Thanks a lot to everyone for the positive comments. Here are a few more comparison screenshots, demonstrated using XP12 debug / art controls:

I like it.
If you are unsure Asobo, please just put it in optionally.

That is amazing work! I never liked the look of the sunsets/sunrises in MSFS.

Asobo please listen and update the coefficients!

This is amazing work, love it. Please, Asobo, implement this. Works be a great enhancement for realism.

Please implement this Asobo. Also, please look at the green color cast that is pervasive in the whole sim. Is it from a global reflection texture as in FSX and P3D?

These coefficients should also help with the green tint as part of it is caused by the default Rayleigh scattering coefficients not being accurate. Another part of it sadly comes from the hue shifts caused by the tonemapping, XP12 suffers from it as well.

I vote yes for this ,please Asobo. just do it.

I can’t thank you enough for bringing this to X-Plane!
Now I hope we see this improvement in MSFS as well!

This is really awesome and definitely deserves attention from Asobo.

This is really awesome work you’ve done. Sucks that you can’t implement it into the sim and release it as a mod. If you did, I would gladly pay 50 dollars for this lol. Sunsets in Msfs are okay but it gets really bad if it’s overcast. It makes all the clouds in the sky orange which obviously doesn’t happen irl. Irl, they just turn darker and darker until it’s black.

Hi,
Thank you for your work! This looks so much better.
Hopefully Asobo will pick up on this.

Hello!, this is fantastic, the overly purple sunrsies/sets has been a slight bugbear for me but with this adjustment the skies will look incredible! all the best

These look fantastic. Hopefully Asobo takes notice and gets this into msfs20104.

Failing asobo implementing this, is there a way to recreate something similar with, say, reshade or something like that?

Excellent work! This needs as much exposure as possible. Current sky colors are way too vibrant and purple indeed. Seems like a relatively easy thing to implement for Asobo?

Fantastic News and a great job by the OP.
I hope that new parameters would also solve the problem with pink and orange skies in overcast conditions like this:
