Replacement for pop-out tablet

The tablet that I was using with pop out panel manager has augered in and needs replacing.
I know that there are many options other than another tablet but I don’t remember the brand names.
So I am asking the community;
What do you use or recommend, or what do you use?
Thanks so much in advance :face_savoring_food:

Samsung Galaxy Tab A’s are dirt cheap and work, iPads work great, I run 3 iPads and and Galaxy tablet.

I bought them all used on Facebook Marketplace for cheap.

Mine was an old Samsung.
I liked that it didn’t need any cables.
Battery operated and wifi for the pop out.
Looked at touch monitors on Amazon but not sure that’s the way to go.

What do you use it for?

I use the Samsung for the EFB, the iPads are used for Air Manager Instruments, and then I also have 2 other 24" touch panels for Air Manager instruments.

I use space desk to connect the iPads and tablet and then POPM to enable touch for the sim.

I mainly use them to pop out an MFD or other panel so that I can see things like altitude without putting my face to the screen.
Would be nice to pop out the TBM930 MFD and program the flight plan there. Things like that.

I use a Samsung Galaxy Tab for my PFD. Works great.

Sounds interesting, can you please describe how you do it.
Thanks

Depends on the aircraft, for example the 787, I use Air Manager and we have an instrument that acts as the frame, and then I pop out the screen and place it inside.

Now I have a wireless tablet / efb.

PMDG 737 I do the same.

The Fenix A320, 19, 21, you can access it via http: so i just open up a web browser on the tablet.

It really all depends on aircraft but i use Air Manager in conjunction with it.

And then of course Pop Out Panel Manager as it gives the touch capability that is missing in MSFS.

I see that Amazon has some wifi capable tablets as low as $100 cdn. Don’t see why they wouldn’t work.
