Replay mode updates?

Haven’t heard anything about replay in awhile, only since it was added into DevMode a few months ago. Any word on what’s going on with replay becoming available to all?

I look forward to this working well.
Suggestion to the product owner(s) - Look at the way X-Plane does replay. Very simple, intuitive, and elegant.

Thanks

They added the Replay Function to the Experimental Features in General Settings to make it easier to find.

So you don’t have to find it in Devmode now.

Sorry but, only PC atm right?

Yes, currently on PC (at the moment)

Am I the only one that hankers for a replay mode that works like the one we had in FSX. It was simple, effective, easy to use and quick to set up?

This is the only flight simulator that doesn’t have a replay. Even VTOL VR which was made by one man has replay. If this sim was developed by flight simmers we would have had one from day one. I have purchased replay add one , attempted to use the experimental beta version and none work the way they should.

Most of us wish they would implement one soon.

And the classic flyby view…

I currently use the Sky Dolly replay app.(it’s free) My biggest gripe with replay as it stands now is the loss of the different views that FSX had. Spot view, Tower view. etc. , and being able to cycle those views with the push of a button.

The integrated replay function is just so non-intuitive, and it doesn’t capture sounds/animations/configuration changes to the airplane very well (i.e. flap/spoiler settings remain fixed at the final position). Also you have to go into the experimental settings every time you start a new flight to add it to the function bar - as far as I can tell it doesn’t save. I tried one of the flightsim.to plug ins and while the interface was straightforward it killed my framerates on replays - no fun to watch a slide show. I can’t believe this still hasn’t been perfected by this point.
