"Reply To Post" seems to only work sometimes

There are times when I want to quote someone and reply. Sometimes my post will contain their quote, sometimes (less often, for sure) it doesn’t, and I have to edit my post and manually copy/paste their content and username in.

Then there are times when it’s quicker and easier to just “Reply To Post”
Sometimes their username appears in the upper right of my post, and sometimes (more frequently lately) it doesn’t, and I have to rely on them to deduce that I’m replying specifically to them.

Is anyone else experiencing this odd forum behavior?
Am I doing something wrong?

If you are quoting their entire post, the system will remove that as to not duplicate a post and make a longer read/topic. What I did above was quote a partial of your post.

If you reply to a user directly above your reply, no username will appear in the upper right as it’s assumed you replied to the post directly above it. If you reply to a post further up, it should indicate who you replied to.
