If I remember right (I really don’t fly airliners) you go into the LEGS pages select the waypoint and then press the top left line select key and then execute it.
I put together a quick start for the default FS2024 max here. It’s the file with B38M in the title. I’ll probably update it soon, but it should get you flying. The aircraft does have quite a few bugs though.

Please note that I fly with hardware peripherals (for one a keyboard set to the 2020 legacy layout) and am a Navigraph subscriber, so not all of this will be applicable to all pilots, but it may help some think through a procedure flow that works for their platform and controller preferences:
