RESOLVED: Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X Elevator Trim (Joystick Slider X + - )

Problem assigning Elevator Trim (Joystick Slider X + - )

SJA now fixed while reporting issue - see steps below for anyone else who managed to miss this…

Description of the issue:
Got most things set up as before in 2020 I think but I heavily used the Joystick slider as my trim wheel control and so far cannot do this anymore.
MSFS 2024 picks it up only as a slider control and not as 2 separate button controls with X- and X+ as MSFS 2020 did

Joystick Slider X-
Joystick Slider X+

Quite Note on Fox: I missed the left hand LIST of buttons…

[PC Only]

FIXED USING STEPS BELOW STEPS

Unassign Joystick Slider X to trim (if assigned)

  1. Select Elevator trim up/down
  2. Click cog to the right
  3. Use left hand pane (list of available controls/buttons)
  4. At the bottom I could select Specifically Joystick Slider X+ OR X-)

Thank you, I struggled with this myself and for the life of me couldn’t figure it out! This did the trick.

Had the same problem…this fixed it for me. Thanks

This isn’t working for me. Any further tips? I have a Thrustmaster HOTAS too. I’m following exactly what you did.

The only way I can get any sort of trim to respond is if I set the axis in the screen by scanning and operating the control. The problem then is that it expects the control to stay there; as soon as you let go, the trim centralises and doesn’t do anything anymore.
