I have searched left and right and did not find anything really. I am looking for retrofit cockpits for planes like the Flying Iron P 38 (on offer in the store atm).
Now don’t get me wrong. Realism is nice and all, but I remember greatly enjoying A2A’s civilian Mustang for its modern 6 pack. Is there any conversion for any of the planes out there (so modern 6 pack, easier readable gauges, one or two GNSses with a big enough screen) Something akin to the Ju52 retrofit.
Especially for planes from Flying Iron, Big radials and the like. Quality addons with these replacements.
Those would be hard to pull off given the amount of gauge programming required. The A2A Civ Mustang was an in- house project. And I remember their saying at the time that if they had it to do over again, they would have done it as a separate, standalone release, not an expansion.
The retrofit JU-52 was likewise the developer’s project.
The closest I’ve seen for Flying Iron was the grey panel that came with their P-38 house livery. But that was just a texture change, not a gauge update. I borrowed it into the third-party Red Bull livery.
I think some of the P-51s and T-6s in the Asobo Reno Pack have modernized panels, but I never picked it up, so can’t be sure.
Agree that modern panels would be a nice option to have.
