Returning Pilot having problems

Hi, I’m trying to return to MSFS 2020 after a couple of years hiatus. And I’m having problems.

I originally bought the game via Steam, and I have an historic XBOX live account (no subscriptions). My version of MSFS 2020 is stock, not mods, nothing. When I now try to fire up the game via Steam I get stuck on the “Sign into your XBOX account” previously from memory it signed my in automatically. Now when I click on “Sign In” the game just freezes.

Does anyone have any ideas how to resolve. Thank you.

Arr OK, apologies for the mistake.

Good news though, an hour or so of thinking how to resolve has come up with results.

Firstly I checked my XBOX account and it appeared to have unlinked from my steam account. So relinked it. Initially had the same issue but then I read on the Steam Forum that pressing ALT+RETURN at game start up gets you out of full screen mode and that then shows the MS verification window. Complete the window and I now have access to the game.

I can fly again!!!
