I’m very sorry to hear your news man…
Keep us posted! I hope solved finally. I think 36fps with ASW is all you are after - if it’s smooth, and good enough visuals, don’t care too much about the numbers.
Excellent! Really pleased for you Major! And sympathies on your loss.
Vr can pull us through many things though, a really cool distraction
Not true. It varies from PC to PC. There is no definitive answer to this. On my rig, link cable is far superior.
Thats ■■■■■■■■ you dont need a 4090
To have good vr. With a 4070 or 3080 you have great vr gameplay
Calm down! Have you tried a 4090 to know what you are comparing though?
Anyway he didn’t say you NEED a 4090 minimum. But to “really appreciate” it and that is totally correct. I am on a 4080 and I am at limits and have HAD to compromise on what I see if I make things higher for stabilities sake. I could bump things up with the extra VRAM of the 4090 alone, plus the boost in processing power would not go amiss
I have had incredible experience flying all over with excellent graphics now and no stutters. I switch ■■■ off and on depending on detail. I use link cable am well chuffed
Which is why I said “really really changed things for me” ;p
Can you share all your settings for msfs and all other apps you are using. I have more or less the same setup as you but get better results with VD. I keep trying the link cable but the results are not as good as VD.
Do you know an hour ago despite me always having poor performance, I tried VD for the first time in months.
And guess what…
Were your findings in line with Einstein’s reputed definition of insanity?
The suspense is killing me! Better or worse?
no my quest 3 is completely ■■■■■■
presumably, not a good outcome?
a slightly longer description might help us to see if we can be of assistance
“Please verify that your computer is set up for Mixed Reality”
There’s the first FU
I don’t recall seeing that. Does it provide any guidance on what exactly it wants you to do?
From memory, all i had to do was to install VD on my headset and make sure that the VD Streamer app was installed on my PC and running.
Its an ERROR then the message - its just says verify my computer
I had positive with VD but going back to it after dinner, well its pear shaped now
is the Quest 3 still connected to your Wifi network?
Maybe restart the streamer, if you haven’t already.
so I am connected still to the wifi and the cable is connected - even at the 'welcome screen when i switch to VR I get that message
When you say the cable is connected, is that the USB C cable that you had previously been using to link to your PC or are you saying that your PC is connected to the router?
If it’s the former, VD and/or the quest might be getting confused by having two potential connections, so maybe try VD without the cable connection.
