Reverse thrust broken

I hope you’re right. I just stopped a flight from home to Cleveland(2 hours) to test. I figured if it’s patched, I wouldn’t be able to stop again. Let’s see…

Lesson learned. Fix still works. It’s not patched. Back in the air…

Just added ‘decrease throttle’ to the bottom detent button on my saitek quadrant. While it seems to work in the c208, the throttle lever animation rapidly moves the stick from 0-100

So it produces the reverse thrust as expected, but the animation doesn’t match up?

Are you using the standard Saitek driver and anything else mapped to the z button or throttle axis?

I never tested the workaround on the C208 so hard for me to comment really, but be aware that typically the animation event is separate from the event which changes a SIM value and it is possible for them to be delinked in a peripheral. But that doesn’t quiet sound lime what you have going on.

You could try setting up a dedicated profile for the C208 and try some of the other possible actions? I know reverse thrust mapped to Z works well on the TBM.

I agree. We can agree/ disagree it’s part of discussion.

I also agree that this approach, for me at least is better than moving the throttle forward for reverse but concede that it doesn’t really give you analog control of beta. Incidently before SU7 the reverse hold (not toggle) binding worked and effectively gave you a similar result. I think the point here is that when this is finally fixed all of these potential bindings should work as expected and then depending on your hardware and preference you can set it to work the way that suits you.

This is not working for Bravo either. Neither is Proper feather.

i fiddled with it some more.. I changed the reverse throttle to the HOLD one instead of TOGGLE and now it seems happy.

on the topic of reverse thrust. has anyone noticed how underpowered the reverse thrust is in general? After landing, most of the stopping force at high speed comes from the engines in reverse thrust. Their numbers are not even close to what it should be. Landing any biz jet with reverse thrust is one heck of a quick slow down, but in the sim it’s hardly anything.

Yup, thrust reverse is broken

Hi

I have the same throttle. Read the thread but still confused as to what do. Can you post an idiots step by step. That would fabulous.

Thanks.

Well I have the opposite experience.

Now all of a sudden reverse thrust actually works on my bravo throttle. Did not before.

In the tbm930 (dont fly big jets) now I can use reverse thrust when landing just by lowering thrust lever into the lower dent.

Did you check C208?

I will test it now

The tbm930 reverse thrust toggle works fine but the C208 has the same problem as other planes with the reverse thrust toggle not letting you modulate the reverse thrust once it has been toggled.

Thank you very much Bluef1n234!!! :+1:
This is important information for our PC-6 development. We use custom PT6A configuration and don`t have a problem with reverse. But it is important to know what problems SU7 have.

there is however a temporary work around by using the decrease throttle bind but I don’t think you can manipulate the reverse thrust amount with it.

You are right! We have tested this “fix” with our Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS Hotas. It is good to know the current situation with different Joysticks.

I did not. Dont fly that many planes. Uses 3-5 regularly. Not the c208, sorry.

Yes this works for me too in my flightsim pm boeing 737 throttle quadrant. Thanx
