  • As i’m sifting through my missions in the state of California, i come across a VIP mission that seems off to me. Because the DHC-2 Beaver ain’t exactly know for it’s VIP vibe. Yet, there it is, VIP flight from KAJO to 73CA, 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Yes add this to the “inappropriate aircraft for mission” list! They really need to do some better aircraft assignment coding for missions.

Are you forced to do certain missions. i.e. this one? I have not started a career in 2024 for various reasons yet.

Nope, it’s all free choice.

I could see the DHC-2 being a VIP mission to a back country strip in a remote location or a lake if its on floats as its a widely used aircraft for that but this instance is a bit excessive.

In which case choose not to do it. While I understand your point I do not think the mission itself is so outlandish that it makes no sense at all. It is not totally unreasonable to think a ‘VIP’ (whatever that means in MSFS) would opt to take a flight in a Beaver if that was the best/fastest option at that given time.

or you know we can choose not to do them AND report the illogical career mission offers on the official bug forum?

There are way too many missions offered with inappropriate aircraft. It’s a software deficit that should be improved. There is no logical reason this (or many other missions) should be offered with the aircraft they are.

But it is an opinion in this case as I would say it is not unreasonable even for a ‘VIP’ to fly in a Beaver and a 4 hour (or so) flight is also not exactly unheard of… I am not saying there would not be other instances or even that this mission in isolation is not ‘ideal’, but then life is not ideal. If there were very few missions to choose from then it would make more sense. I still believe there should be ways to filter what flights are offered.

This wasn’t that…

I know it was kinda wishful thinking that we could get something like that one day.

First all I had the same thought about the beaver lol… but I’m having problems with the difference between vip and charter… I bought the Cessna citation after saving a ton of money to use it for vip flights… but all the vip missions are charter missions not actually vip and don’t let you use it… so how and when can I use this plane I just spent forever saving to buy?
