River fly in! Lower Loon Creek 10 pm EST

Hello guys, I would like to organize a river fly in in which everyone is welcome! The day and time will be this Saturday the 22nd at 8pm EST and the location is to be determined!

I want to choose a beautiful river that also has high fidelity graphics and plenty of gravel beds for landing. Suggestions are welcome so please leave a suggestion. I have started off by just Googling “most beautiful rivers in the world” and might choose one from the top 10 but of course I am open to other suggestions as well.

We can also use one of the open voice channels under the multiplayer section of the official MSFS discord. On the day of the fly in I’ll make the decided location official and we’ll take off from the nearest strip. I recommend Cubs and C152 only :slight_smile:

IIRC I found a beautiful river with many gravel beds in SW Montana. Will confirm tonight. But, would definitely be down to do that!

I’d love to fly around Ardèche in France with its beautiful green cliffs and forests. I’m yet to visit it in the sim but would definitely be up for exploring with somebody :grinning:

bump! any ideas for places? Last night I flew the Li River in China from KGUL. It was nice. But i didn’t have enough time to test out more.

I’m interested. I’ve never done a fly-in before and would welcome suggestions for aircarft/settings/etc.

It’s just a fly in where we will take off from an airport and all hangout and fly in a decided area. This is for bush flying so I recommend the cub or c152 for slowest flight.

I’m interested…never done a fly in, nor have I flown the cub yet, so that should be fun! Also never used discord…sooo…yeah :man_shrugging: Saw a video of Fraser river in Canada (vancouver maybe?) and it looked pretty cool.

Check out 85U, sweet location and big enough to fit a group as it’s not just a small strip, it’s a big fat grass landing on a canyon

I’d be down with this if I’ll be home. Might be tough, motorcycle is the other hobby and usually out late. Might be fun to try to find the group by flying around if I miss 8 on, lol
